soon

hi all, i am back... i bet you didnt even know i was gone. anywho I was in Lac Le Hache (meaning "Axe lake" so i am told) Which is about 20 minutes past 100 mile house.
We left from here around 9:30...after getting some dvd's, since the van we rented had a player in it, we headed up. I, not really knowing what to exspect.. I have been on quite a few retreat but not a 3 day (well 2 "whole" days) N.E.T Retreat. Little did i know that it was going to be somthing i will never forget.
So twas Silken, Adele, Giselle, Joan and I, in the van. Then Alex, Lyndon, Caleb, Austen and Paul in the other van. haha was good fun "racing" them there. So we watched 'chicken little' on the way there, ( we wanted to watch 'meet the robinsons' but the boys took it... ugh.. and here they founf out thier dvd player didnt even work.. ha
So we got there about 12:30 ish...
Had lunch, signed in..
Jackie was the first one to come and introduce herself, telling joan and i a story. =) Soon after about at 1:30 it started.. The whole team was introduced and we heard the first talk, by Christopher, (whom is from Ireland, and only 18... crazy..) anywho his talk was great.. talking about how our dreams cant ever be enough. After we complete some earthly dream we still wont feel complete. He was into a Irish sport.. umm cant remember what it is called.. maybe "hurley". Anywho he exsplained how the game worked.. and tell me tell you. Its not no picnic.. and it sure is dangerous. So his dream was to be on the provincial team, he thought it would make him feel whole. Sure enough he did make it on the team and he found that it was not at all what he had wanted it to be.. the guys on th team were complete differant from him, moral wise. and he knew what there had to be somthing more. So anywho.. The way he talked about it was awesome, his analigy was a horse with a carrot dangling in front of its face, and this horse can see what he wants and trys hard to get it.. but even when he gets the carrot he will still not be full. There was much more to his talk but, i cant remember everything from all the talks :S
anywho, after that we played a game i think... and watched a skit. The game was Fun! There was 2 teams, each person on the team got a peice of paper.. (like 5 inches by 3 inches) and you had to make a chain from one side of teh "river" to the other using your "stones", With out letting go of your team members.. (sounds easy...Not SO!) So when you are putting down your stone it has to never lose contact with you.. so when you place it down, you have to bend all the way other and place it under your foot... while some one that is trying to balance , has a hold of you... (prollly doesnt make much sense) but it was tons of fun,, even if my team lost...

Then got spilt into small groups. Mine was lead by heather, and then were 4 of us "older" girls in it, Joan, Me, luciele (sp?) and Tanya. Then was Mass i think.. at 3.
Then after we played four a couch, which was awesome... haha playing with 30 somthing people gets very confusing.. it was girls vs. boys... welll and josh was on the girls team... :P which he was happy about :P haha

anywho.. i'll write more later...
peace :)
